Nana no longer downloads your cloud files while she scans. One bug is the reason this version exists, and this is it. Anything sent up to iCloud, Dropbox or another provider leaves a placeholder behind on your disk — and asking a placeholder how big it is makes macOS fetch the whole file back, with the scan stopped dead until it arrives. A Desktop folder of old screen recordings was enough to hang a scan for hours and swallow 4.7 GB of free space, on a Mac the app had been opened to make room on. Nana now steps over placeholders instead of opening them, and she doesn’t count their bytes as space you could free — because that space is already free. If you keep anything at all in the cloud, this is the update to take.
She cleans up after the coding agents you run in a terminal. AI & Dev has been listing what Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode leave behind since 1.3.0, and listing was all it did. Now you tick the projects you’re finished with and they go to Quarantine, where seven days and one click bring them back if you were wrong. The confirmation names the command that stops working, and the memory/ folder sitting beside them — everything you taught the agent — is never offered and never walked into.
The left menu says what’s working and what’s being held. A module that’s still scanning pulses there whichever screen you’re on, and hovering it shows that module’s own live line. Quarantine carries a badge with how much it’s holding, because putting files there isn’t deleting them: that space comes back when you empty it, and now something says so outside that one screen.
Somewhere to say what you think. The list of links in About now starts with one for leaving a review. It’s a link and nothing else — nothing is traded for it, and nothing pops up later to ask again.
Stop stops, and stays stopped. The junk scanners used to run somewhere the button couldn’t reach, so pressing Stop left every one of them walking your disk to the end. And stepping back onto a screen was read as asking for a fresh scan, so a measurement you’d stopped quietly started itself over. Press Stop and it’s over; press Scan when you want another one. Only one measurement of your disk runs at a time now, instead of several crossing it at once and slowing each other down.
Nothing searches for ever. A single folder can hold a screen-recording project of hundreds of thousands of frames, and a folder like that could keep the overview counting for hours. Each junk category now gets ninety seconds and each folder a minute, and whatever couldn’t be finished is reported as “at least” that much — rather than as a number Nana can’t stand behind. Deleting is untouched: what a clean-up frees is still counted to the last byte, however long it takes.
She says what she’s doing while she does it. The junk scan tells you how far it’s got instead of standing at one sentence for as long as it takes, the photo scan counts the files it has been through, and Smart Care shows you the junk it found without waiting for the slower health check to catch up.
After a clean, the files that stayed are named. The sentence used to be cut off mid-word — “Removed 71 items · could not remo…” — and the half that fell off the end was the half saying what hadn’t happened. It now says the whole thing and lists every file still exactly where you left it: its name, its folder, why it stayed, and a button that shows it in the Finder. A category with only some of its items ticked finally looks like one, too.

Nana speaks ten languages. Every screen, every button and every explanation is now in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese — following whatever language your Mac is set to.
She cleans up after your AI tools. Dev Cleanup has grown into AI & Dev: it clears what Ollama, LM Studio, Hugging Face, Docker, Homebrew, npm and the Xcode simulators leave lying around. Your downloaded models are listed with their size and left exactly where they are — pulling those back takes hours, and that is your call, not hers.
Every screen tells you what it looked at. Each scan names the folders it opened and the files it passed over, so you always know what a result covers. And when a scan finds nothing, it says so in plain words instead of quietly putting you back where you started.
Keep none, or clear a whole group. Similar Photos can now let go of an entire set, and Duplicates can select every copy in a group — for the piles where nothing is worth keeping.
The Uninstaller remembers. Step away from the module and come back, and your scan is still waiting — for as long as your Applications folder hasn't changed underneath it.
Clearer numbers, everywhere. Each folder in the storage breakdown carries its own size, and every clean-up tells you what went to Quarantine and when it clears itself out.
Stop means stop. The button now reaches every scan the moment you press it, including the disk health check — and scanning no longer makes the window stutter.

Nana asks for one permission less. The app used to request Accessibility access and list it in Settings → Permissions. It never once used it — Clean Mode has always worked without it — so both the request and the row are gone.

A whole new look. Nana’s Cleaner has been rebuilt around one calm, dark interface — every tool has its own screen, with bigger cards, clearer buttons and nothing hidden behind menus.
Updates install themselves now. Nana checks for a new version, downloads it, makes sure it really came from us, and swaps itself over — one click, no trip to the website.
Your licence lives in Settings. See what your key covers, how many Macs are using it, and release a seat when you move to another machine.
Scans no longer freeze the app. The first Smart Clean scan used to lock everything up; the work now happens in the background and you can watch it count.
Reviewing a big folder — thousands of old downloads — opens instantly instead of hanging.
Similar Photos is much faster to start, and tells you what it’s doing while it looks.
Nana now shows up in Full Disk Access by herself, so there’s no hunting for her in System Settings.
A proper installer window: drag Nana onto Applications and you’re done.

Honestly, I didn't expect such a simple disk-cleaning app to impress me this much. But I really ended up loving it. Almost immediately, just a few minutes after paying for the app, I removed nearly 20GB of junk I had no idea was even there, just cluttering up my computer. On top of that, the app has some really nice extra features, like a health check that gives you recommendations on how to improve performance or secure your computer. Highly recommend!
